About Me

Hello!

I'm Natalie and I am the one behind the camera and the Wild Oaks Photography business!

I am a mom to 3 beautiful children here on earth, and 2 in heaven. I'm a born and raised Okie, and love living the rural life. Fun facts about me; I have never lived in a town! I'm a country girl to the core and horses, nature, and hard work have always been a part of who I am. I actually have a scar on my bottom lip that I'm pretty self-conscious about because a horse bit me there about 8 years ago. I had to have 8 stitches in my lip! One of my many horse-related injuries.

I'm a lover of classic country music and western movies (Lonesome Dove is an all-time favorite). I'm a versatile person though with an appreciation for lots of styles and genres and Jane Austen books/movies, The Lord of the Rings, Phantom of the Opera, Poldark and Outlander are some other works that I could watch/read a thousand times!

My husband, Josh, and I also enjoy gardening and working with our animals on our little homestead. Nature truly is my happy place and a little dirt, mud, & wilderness never hurt my soul. I have a deep passion for caring for the environment and working with nature - not against it. Though I am far from perfect, I always try my best to respect the environment and leave no trace at my sessions. You will not find me popping plastic confetti into the air outdoors where it cannot be vacuumed or swept up. You will also not find me threatening the existence of fragile wildflowers by posing clients in a delicate patch. It is always important to me to leave a location better than I found it and be a good steward of creation.

I first picked up a camera - a little Canon Rebel t3i with kit lenses - while working for the Christian camp I interned with as a teen/young adult. A passion was born. I have taken several breaks in my business, due to having children, but photography definitely has my heart and is what I keep running back to.

Q: What kind of equipment do you have?

A: I have 3 Sony cameras and lenses - 2 I use on a regular basis. I always bring at least two sets with me to all sessions so in case of malfunctions, I can continue to capture the session. I also have various flashes in order to be prepared no matter the lighting.

Q: Do you travel?

A: I currently am serving the SWOK area and OKC Metro area. I occasionally will travel to TX , CO, or AR for sessions. If you are out of state and interested in me doing a session for you, definitely reach out! I am open to all possibilities!

Q: What is your turnaround time?

A: Generally, all galleries will be delivered within 2 weeks for portraits or family sessions. Weddings have a 1-3 month turnaround, with a sneak peek of around 15-20 images within 24 hours.

Q: Are you pet friendly?

A: All fur babies are welcome to join in on sessions with me! Horses, cows, snakes, cats, rabbits, chickens... if they mean a lot to you, let's incorporate them!

Q: Do you offer prints?

A: Prints, albums, and other art are something I am beginning to offer in 2022! Albums are hand designed and prints are professionally done with the highest quality labs. Options to order can be made through your gallery link. Some packages have prints or albums automatically included.

Q: Do you have a studio?

A: Yes! Amethyst Antler Studio is located near Medicine Park/Lawton. I am so excited to offer this space to my clients now!
